Artashes Emin

Translator, interpreter between Armenian, English and Russian languages. Member of aiic, the International Association of Conference interpreters. Secretary General of PEN Armenia between 1991 and 1998. Holds a Master of Laws degree from the American University of Armenia. Published literary translations, among others: into Armenian of works by Edgar Poe, George Orwell, William Golding, Thornton Wilder, Harold Pinter, John Updike, Thomas Pynchon; into Russian by Anais Nin, Trevanian, Jack Hashian; into English by Platon Zubov, Nairi Zarian. Contributed the Armenia article to World Encyclopedia of Contemporary Theatre. Conducted research and lectured at the University of Michigan and Harvard University under the Fulbright Program from 1994 to 1995. In 2015 bestowed with the title Meritorious Culture Figure of Armenia.
