Yuri Manvelyan

Yuri Manvelyan (b. 1983) is a journalist, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Epress.am, which is one-of-a-kind online media at Armenian media space due to its’ critical approach to nationalistic mainstream propaganda and commitment to Freedom of Speech; keeping focus on Human Rights, especially minority issues. Yuri Manvelyan graduated from school N69 after Sakharov, at 90s and 2000s he used to live in 3-d District (industrial suburb of Yerevan). He studied at Russian-Armenian University of Yerevan as well as at Caucasian Institute. For 5 years he served at army, first as a private soldier, afterwards as an officer at Armed Forces’ media service.
