We Need A Normal, Civilized Negotiation Process

The third article of the PEN Charter mentions peace, good understanding between nations, and respect. How realistic is this after the war?

I still find this hard to imagine. In order to picture this, we need a normal, civilized negotiation process on core issues.

What kind of image could represent the war in our literature so that it could reflect the full picture of our times?

I don’t know what image it could be. But it has to be reflected somehow. Through literature, the people can acknowledge, understand, and analyze everything that happened, they can fill themselves with hope and walk toward the future.

Can writers use their words and their pens to start and succeed with a peace initiative? Will their words be understood and accepted?

Absolutely. And this is their duty.
